The Kardashians are back for another episode for the sixth season of their family show, with the newest instalment released on Disney+ today (March 13).

Kris Jenner's sister, Karen Houghton, died unexpectedly last year at the age of 65 from cardiac arrest and cardiac arrhythmia related to heart issues and in the latest episode, the matriarch of the family opened up about her devastating loss.

Speaking to Scott Disick, she said: "You just don't expect your sibling to pass when she was younger than me. I just feel really bad for my mum, I don't think any parent deserves to lose a child, I can't imagine."

Attempting to make peace with her loss, Kris admitted: "I know she's in a better place because she was never feeling good. I just didn't expect a heart attack.

"I believe she's in heaven with everyone else that we love and that's what I have to hang on to."

Kourtney Kardashian revealed what her aunt meant to her in a confessional as she said: "My aunt Karen was such a sweet, authentic person.

"My favourite memory of her is that she had a microphone in her car and she would sing while she was driving and so we were singing and having the best time, I was 10."

Khloe Kardashian divulged: "My mum has always done anything and everything she can, she's been such a great support for Karen.

"My mum is so incredibly heartbroken over the loss of her sister. Also, the fear of what this would do to my grandma and my mum is constant worry and grief thinking about MJ [Kris' mum Mary Jo Shannon]. It breaks my heart because it's such a helpless feeling."

Kim Kardashian also shared her feelings as she told the camera: "She was the best human being ever, she was so fun and she was great."

At the time of her passing in March last year, Kris took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to share a heartfelt tribute to her sister.

She penned: "Karen was beautiful inside and out. She was the sweetest, kindest, the most sensitive and vulnerable and so so funny.

"She always felt grateful and thankful for her life and treasured her family and friends and especially her beautiful daughter.

"She holds such a huge part of my heart and I cherish every single memory we have together," Kris concluded.
