Gemma Collins has spoken of her success on weight loss injections, after showing off her new slim look at Cheltenham Festival. The former Towie star, 44, Celebrity Big Brother star wore a pale blue outfit for her debut outing at the racing event.
She has recently turned to Mounjaro injections to help lose weight and vowed to be honest about her weight loss journey in the coming months. Gemma said: “I'm on those weight-loss injections at the minute. People used to call me 'three-course Collins' and now I can only eat one course. It's really amazing.
"I want to be open with everything I do in my life. There's no point in lying to the people who love me and that's the public. I wouldn't be where I am today without the public. I just always want to be transparent. With those injections, slowly, slowly the weight is coming off. I'm never going to change who I am.
"That's who I am, but at the end of the day, I think those injections, if they're taken right, from a doctor, they're great. People don't understand, sometimes when you've got a bigger appetite it's all to do with genetics and stuff like that. I went from a size 26 and I'm now back in a 20.”
Gemma was seen at Cheltenham Festival chatting to actor Danny Dyer and said she would love to work on a TV show with him in the future. Speaking in the Paddy Power suite which also had Dyer and ex-footballer Peter Crouch on the guest list, she added: "I love Danny from back in the day, because I love The Business(Film he starred in).
“Talents like Danny and Crouchy - they appreciate my vibe. They see that I've got charisma, charm and talent and they're here for it.
“Everyone loves the GC, and if you don't there's something wrong with you, hun.
"I've always admired Danny. I love him as Mick Carter in EastEnders, and I respect his work."
Gemma posted photos of her outfit on social media which led to many compliments. But it was actually altered at the last minute because the weather was so cold and damp.
She explained: "What people have got to remember is it's your personality that shines, it's not the labels in your clothes. We all must remember to be unique and keep being ourselves. But bloody hell - we didn't envisage it was going to rain. We knew there was snow.
"When I walked in I had to pose with the Gold Cup, but, literally, it started raining and the heavens opened. But my stylist, who is here with me today, has a pair of scissors embedded on him at all times, so he just cut the bottom of the outfit off and cracked on.
"I had a faux fur-collared coat in the back of my car, and I was like, 'It's going to be freezing. Take that off the coat, let's whack it round me.' And it's all come together. I know everyone is wearing tweed, but I fancied wearing baby blue."
Gemma spoke for the first time about her weight loss injections earlier this month. At the time she said: "I can't believe I've finally found something that works. I've lost nearly 2stone already and it has been completely effortless. I don't even want to eat any more!"
