‘General Hospital’s’ Kelly Monaco Is Back On New Show

Actress Kelly Monaco’s departure from General Hospital has still left many fans in shock. However, the actress recently shared a new project with fans on social media. Notably, fans are also getting involved as the soap star shared the news.
Kelly Monaco Joined General Hospital After Appearing On Port Charles
Monaco joined the supernaturally themed General Hospital spin-off Port Charles back in 2000. While there, she played Livvie Locke and Tess Ramsey.
In late 2003, Monaco transitioned into the main series. this time, she prominently took on the role of Sam McCall, as well as her lookalike Alicia Montenegro.

Monaco would continue to play Sam well into 2024. However, her character would eventually be killed off during a period when death appeared to haunt Port Charles. At the time, many fans disliked the story, even petitioning to somehow have Monaco brought back to the show.
Monaco appeared to be keeping a low profile in the months following her departure from the series. However, the star has recently announced a new project.
Taking to Instagram, Monaco shared that she would be teaming up with Shanna Moakler for a new podcast series, Bad Bunnies. As she shared, “Unfiltered. Untamed. Unapologetic. We’re bringing you Hollywood secrets, wild stories, pop culture tea, and real talk—nothing is off-limits!”
However, Monaco also called out to fans for their input. She shared, “But before we drop our first episode, we want to hear from YOU! What topics do you want us to spill on? Reality TV chaos? Dating disasters? Hollywood drama? Let us know in the comments!”
As noted by Michael Fairman TV, there is no word yet when the series will come out. However, it was noted that the announcement made it seem like the release would be soon.
Fans Are Already Sharing What They Want To Hear On The New Podcast
The title was also noted to likely be in reference to Monaco and Moakler being Playboy Magazine’s Playmates of the Month. Monaco had the role in April 1997 while Moakler took on the mantle in December 2001. In addition, Moakler is known for appearing in Pacific Blue and MTV’s Meet the Barkers.
Other soap opera alumni also showed their support for Monaco’s announcement. Actor Brandon Barash, who is known for his work on General Hospital and Days of Our Lives, for example, shared a few clapping hand emojis.

Many soap opera fans are hoping Monaco will use the podcast to share stories on what happened on General Hospital or reveal upcoming projects. As fans may remember, Sam donated part of her liver to save Lulu Spencer.
However, Cyrus Renault killed her with an injection of digitalis. As more deaths followed, including Dex Heller as he investigated Sam’s death, Cyrus was eventually shot and killed by Josslyn.
Taking to the comments, fans were quick to bring up Monaco’s General Hospital exit. A few fans even teased Monaco should already know what they were going to ask about. Some comments included:
- “GH and what happened with your leaving plus from a Texan details on Billy Miller and why happened there too PLEASE!!! Miss him and his acting he was amazing.”
- “Yes tell all about the exit from GH. You are terribly missed.”
- “I want the real tea on why you and GH went separate ways…”
- “GH tea and the real reason they separated Sam and Jason. Billy Miller, are you joining Y&R?”
