NCRI President-Elect Maryam Rajavi Declares Iranian New Year As the Year of Rebellion and Uprising

Mrs. Rajavi's Nowruz Message heralds the continued surge in the Resistance’s prowess inside Iran and its international recognition in the new year.

WASHINGTON, DC, UNITED STATES, March 26, 2024 /EINPresswire.com/ -- In his recent Nowruz speech, Ali Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of the Iranian regime, outlined his concerns and fears. By placing significant emphasis on "hope," mentioning it 29 times, and highlighting its vital role in the future of his regime, he effectively acknowledged the morale crisis among its diminishing support base.

Khamenei remarks reflect a profound sense of urgency aimed at navigating the turbulent waters of his regime’s political and legitimacy crisis.

The backdrop to his speech is a regime besieged by seven years of widespread protests, the historic boycott of the March 1 sham elections, and the failure of his regime’s broader geopolitical strategy and proxy war, now facing major backlash even among the establishment’s loyal factions.

On the other hand, the Nowruz message of Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, the president-elect of the democratic alternative, the National Council of Resistance of Iran, heralded a continued surge in the Resistance’s prowess inside Iran and its international recognition.

Mrs. Rajavi declared the new Iranian year "the year of rebellion and uprising" and said that all indications suggest the conditions are ripe for the Iranian people's democratic revolution to end the clerical regime.

As the NCRI President-elect remarked, "In the past [Iranian] year, in stark contrast to the disintegration and fragmentation of the mullahs' and the pro-shah's fronts, we witnessed the elevation and surge of the organized resistance. The Resistance Units, despite thousands of arrests during the 2022 uprising, swiftly reconstructed and fortified their ranks, advancing with renewed determination."

The end of the clerical regime is indeed fast approaching.

BACKGROUND
The National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) is a democratic coalition of Iranian opposition organizations and personalities and was founded in Tehran, Iran, in July 1981, as the alternative to the clerical regime, a month after the onset of the nationwide resistance to overthrow the ruling dictatorship.

The NCRI is committed to the affirmation of the people’s sovereignty in a republic founded on universal suffrage and pluralism; gender equality; separation of religion and state and freedom of religions and faiths; freedom of thought, press, and association; support for peace in the Middle East; plan for the autonomy of Iranian nationalities and ethnicities; and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, as embodied in Mrs. Maryam Rajavi’s 10-Point Plan for Future Iran.
